Pumpkin Patch or Bust!

This year, it was bust. Every year we have taken the boys to a pumpkin patch to pick out a pumpkin for Halloween and to take some pictures. We've gotten such cute pictures in years past, and I was really looking forward to getting a nice family picture of all of us. Well, it turns out that the boys didn't share in my family photo excitement. Neither one of them napped that day and we were on the verge of meltdowns, but we forged ahead and tried to get our pumpkin and pictures. Here are the "best" ones...

We hoped the tractor might help us get some good shots.

Barrett picked our jack o' lantern pumpkin. He said this was "the perfect pumpkin for us."


Even though we didn't get the fantastic family picture I was so hoping for, I actually love these pictures. I know that we will be able to laugh about them and remember that day very well, and I suppose that is the purpose of a picture anyway!
