Happy Birthday Daddy!

It was Roger's birthday on Saturday! It was wonderful because he had the whole weekend off from the hospital and was able to spend a lot of time at home with the boys. We got to play and run a few errands on Saturday. Roger got some "man" time at the gym while the boys (and Mommy) were napping. However, I completely negated his great workout by cooking him some of his favorite things for dinner that night: fried chicken, homemade mac and cheese, and a big chocolate cake for dessert! :) Barrett helped me make the cake and then got to help Daddy blow out his candle. I forgot to buy candles at the store this week but luckily had a #2 candle from Barrett's second birthday.

Barrett is stripped down to his underwear so that I wouldn't have to Spray and Wash his clothes after his chocolate cake experience (he actually did a great job using his fork and didn't make too much of a mess). Happy birthday Daddy! We love you very much and are so proud of you and how hard you are working right now for our family! Surgical residency sure isn't easy, but God has given you an amazing gift of healing others. I don't think there are too many people out there who can say that their career truly changes lives the way that yours does.
