Downtown Aquarium

With the weather being hot and nasty this week, Roger and I decided to take the boys to the Downtown Aquarium to have some air-conditioned fun. Although it was WAY over-priced, we all had a great time. Barrett and Hunter loved looking at the different fish tanks and animals. Every time Hunter saw something he liked, he would just wave his arms around and kick his feet like crazy! Barrett really liked the part of the aquarium with the shallow pools where you can touch some stingrays and little sharks. We had to go back to that section about 3 times. Barrett even got a little toy stingray from the giftshop. Whoever decided to end the aquarium exhibit in the gift shop was a smart yet tricky person. :) We were also able to see the white tiger come out, although Barrett kept asking why the door to the tiger was locked. After walking around the aquarium, we headed outside to ride the train and see the shark tank. Hunter LOVED this part! He stared at the sharks and could not be distracted. Before going home, we all went for a ride on the carousel. Barrett talked about the aquarium for the next couple of days and has been asking to go back already. It was such a fun way to spend one of Roger's vacation days!

but he loved it!

Barrett liked it too! He was such a big boy and didn't want Mommy to hold him.
